Joint Water Comb Officers To Culverts Looking For Crocodiles Appearing In Manado Bay

The joint team consists of the Ditpolairu Polda of North Sulawesi (Sulut) together with BPBD, BKSDA, Basarnas, and the Department of Transportation held a marine patrol after the crocodile appeared in Manado Bay.

"Joint officers combed several points in the waters of Manado Bay using a safeboat unit of the North Sulawesi Regional Police Ditpolairud and a C2 ship patrolling the Transportation Service," said Head of Public Relations of the North Sulawesi Police, Kombes Alamsyah Parulian Hasibuan, in Manado, Wednesday, confiscated by Antara.

Alamsyah said the search started from the Youth Center pier, the Megamas Manado area. Then comb through several points, among others, the waters around the Lilin Monument in the Marina Plaza area, Kuala Jengki, God Bless Park, and the culverts of Megamas Beach.

"This search effort is to anticipate crocodile attacks that could endanger the safety of citizens," he said.

Alamsyah added that the search for crocodiles until November 10, 2025 had not yielded results.
