Police Say The Suspected Perpetrator Of The Burst Of SMAN 72 Jakarta Has No Curhat Place

The alleged perpetrator of the bomb explosion at SMAN 72 Jakarta, located in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, was designated as a child in conflict with the law (ABH) and charged with multiple articles.

Director of General Criminal Investigation (Dirreskrimum) Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Iman Imanuddin said, in addition to the criminal aspect, Iman highlighted the psychological factors that were the background of the perpetrator's actions.

Based on the results of the investigation, continued Iman, the perpetrator is suspected of experiencing emotional pressure and isolated feelings from the surrounding environment. Thus, the absence of a place or someone to express complaints (disbursement of the heart) makes the condition of the alleged perpetrator unstable.

"The person concerned feels alone and has no place to convey complaints, whether in the family environment, school, or association," he explained.

Because the alleged perpetrator is still a minor, Polda Metro Jaya is also working with the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) to ensure that the investigation process still pays attention to children's rights.

"Because both the perpetrators and the victim are both children, the entire investigation stage is carried out by prioritizing the principle of child protection," he concluded.

Iman did not explain the legal process of the alleged perpetrator. Because until now the police are still focused on recovering the victim's condition, both physically and psychologically.

"We continue to coordinate with schools, families, and accompanying institutions so that the recovery process runs optimally," continued Iman.
