The Family Of National Heroes Says Thank You To Prabowo

JAKARTA - Thanks were conveyed by the families of the nation's leaders who were designated as National Heroes today. Starting from the family of Suharto, Gus Dur, to the heirs of female and labor activist Marsinah, they expressed their appreciation for the awarding of the title of National Hero to their family members.

"Our family feels grateful. Thank you to Allah SWT, thank you to President Prabowo, and thank you to the people of Indonesia," said the son of former President Suharto, Bambang Trihatmodjo, after the ceremony to award the title of National Hero at the State Palace, Monday, November 10.

Suharto's eldest daughter, Siti Hardijanti Rukmana or Mbak Tutut, added that she and her family handed over to the community to assess the services her father had given to this country.

"If there are pros and cons, it's only natural. The important thing is that people can see what my father has done from a young age, his struggle for the nation, state, and people of Indonesia. The one who can judge (his position) is the community itself," continued Tutut.

In the same place, the family of the late Marsinah labor activists also conveyed the same thing. Marsinah is known as a figure in the field of social and humanitarian struggle. He is also remembered for his courage, morals, and struggles in fighting for human rights (HAM) from the ordinary people. He was born to a farming family who instilled the value of hard work and social justice.

The awarding of the title of National Hero for Marsinah was accepted by his brother, Marsini, and his younger brother, Wijiyanti. I thank Mr. President Prabowo. Thank you profusely for the gift given to my younger brother, Marsinah," said Marsini at the State Palace.

Marsini also expressed her appreciation to all those who have supported Marsinah's struggle until she was finally named a National Hero today.

Thank you to fellow workers who always sow flowers at Marsinah's grave and hold tahlil. All of this is a tangible manifestation of Marsinah's ideals which are now come true," he said.

Thanks also came from the family of the late Rahmah El Yunusiyah, the female figure who founded Diniyah Putri Padang Panjang, West Sumatra, who was officially designated as a National Hero today.

Rahmah's heir, Fauzia Fawziah Muhammadin, expressed his gratitude and gratitude to the government for awarding the title.

"That's how we feel, and we thank the Indonesian government, especially to President Prabowo Subianto for giving this gift," he said.

Prabowo last Monday conferred the National Hero Title in commemoration of Heroes' Day, today. The awarding of the title of national hero is based on the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 116/TK/2025 which is set on November 6, 2025. Here are 10 National Heroes set today:

The late Prof. Dr. Mochtar Kusumaatmadja from West Java Province;5. The late Hajjah Rahmah El Yunusiyyah from West Sumatra Province; 6. The late General TNI (Ret.) Sarwo Edhie Wibowo from Central Java Province; 7. The late Sultan Muhammad Salahuddin from West Nusa Tenggara Province; 8. The late Syaikhona Muhammad Kholil from East Java Province; 9. The late Mr. Rondahamim Saragih from North Sumatra Province; and 10. The late Zainal Abidin Syah from North Maluku Province.
