The East Jakarta District Attorney (Kejari) searched the room of the East Jakarta MSME Sub-Department in Block D, 4th Floor, East Jakarta Mayor's Office on Monday, November 10, 2025.

The search was carried out related to the alleged mark-up price for the procurement of sewing machines for the East Jakarta Small and Medium Enterprises Sub-Department (MSMEs) which was held by the MSME Office with a total budget of Rp. 9 billion. It is estimated that the state's loss reached Rp. 4 billion.

Investigators and TNI officers immediately searched every corner of the office to secure data and archives for the procurement of sewing machine items which were budgeted from 2022 to 2024.

"Earlier the search was carried out by a team of investigators from the East Jakarta District Attorney regarding the procurement of sewing machines with a total of more than Rp. 9 billion," said Head of Special Investigation Unit of the East Jakarta Kejari, Adri Eddyanto Pontoh, Monday, November 10, 2025.

The search is part of an investigation into the procurement of sewing machines and strings that take place from 2022 to 2024.

During the search, investigators brought a number of documents and evidence from the East Jakarta Mayor's Office.

"Several documents that we have temporarily taken include Budget Implementation Documents (DPA), computers, Central Processing Units (CPU), and several other documents," he said.

According to Adri, these items will be officially confiscated after receiving a decision from the court.

This step is taken to strengthen the investigation process and ensure that all documents related to procurement can be thoroughly examined.

"Indeed, it is necessary for the purposes of the investigation. We will submit the document to the court for confiscation," he said.

In addition, Adri said, the sewing machine procurement project was intended for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the DKI Jakarta area.

This program covers all administrative city areas, from East Jakarta, West, North, South, Central, to the Thousand Islands.

"Because of this project from 2022 to 2024 for the entire DKI. But because we are from the East Jakarta Kejari, we focus on the East Jakarta area," said Adri.

For the East Jakarta area itself, said Adri, procurement includes around 3,000 sewing machines ordered through one of the distributors in the Kelapa Gading area, North Jakarta.

In addition to the East Jakarta Mayor's Office, investigators also conducted searches at other locations in the North Jakarta area.

"Today, there are two places that we searched according to the court's permission, namely in East Jakarta and North Jakarta. In North Jakarta we searched distributors on Giring-Giring Street, Kelapa Gading," he said.

Investigators have pocketed a number of names but have not yet named suspects in this case. The new determination will be made after the results of the audit of state losses from the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) are issued.
