Explosion At SMAN 72, 33 Students Still Undergoing Hospital Treatment

JAKARTA - A total of 33 students are still undergoing medical treatment after the explosion occurred at SMAN 72 Jakarta, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta. As of tonight, the total number of victims was 54 students.

The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Budi Hermanto, said that of the 54 victims, 27 students were treated at the Jakarta Islamic Hospital, and six people at the Yarsi Hospital. Meanwhile, 21 other students have been sent home in good health.

"We hope that students who are still being treated can recover soon and return home like their other friends," said Budi, Friday, November 7.

Polda Metro Jaya together with the forensic team of the National Police Headquarters, Densus 88, and the Jibom Gegana Team are still investigating the crime scene (TKP). The official release from the Metro Jaya Police Chief is scheduled for tomorrow after the entire TKP processing process is complete.

In addition, Budi appealed to the public to remain calm. The police have prepared a service post to record victims, provide trauma healing for students and families, and gather information to be conveyed to the media and the public.

"The current situation is safe and can be controlled. There is no need to worry or worry, everything is under the supervision of the Metro Jaya Police Chief," he concluded.

As previously reported, the police confirmed that there was an explosion at SMA 72 North Jakarta, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta.

This was revealed by the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Police Commissioner Budi Hermanto. The explosion was mentioned from around the mosque there. It is suspected that it happened during Friday prayers.
