Khamenei Refuses To Have Sex With The US, Trump Claims Iran Asks 'Can Sanctions Be Revoked'

JAKARTA - US President Donald Trump claims Iran is asking whether US sanctions against the country can be lifted.

"Iran has asked if the sanctions can be lifted. Iran has received very heavy US sanctions, and that makes it very difficult for them to do what they want to do. I am open to hearing it, and we'll see what happens later, but I will be open to it," Trump told reporters on Thursday evening local time at the White House. as reported by Reuters, Friday, November 7th.

Iran's mission to the United Nations (UN) in New York did not immediately respond to requests for comment regarding Trump's claims.

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei previously said cooperation between Iran and the United States was unlikely as long as Washington continued to support Israel, defend military bases, and intervene in the Middle East.

After taking office for his second term in January, Trump restored a "maximum pressure" operation against Iran, which included efforts to prevent Tehran from developing nuclear weapons. In June, the US bombed Iran's nuclear site.

The two countries held five rounds of nuclear negotiations, before the 12-day war between Iran and Israel in June.

However, negotiations between the two sides faced major obstacles, such as uranium enrichment issues in Iran, which Western countries want to reduce to zero to minimize the risk of weapons - a plan Tehran rejects.
