JAKARTA - South Korea and Japan reported North Korea resumed missile launches on Friday.

The South Korean military said Pyongyang had at least fired one unidentified ballistic missile into the East Sea, quoted from The Korea Times November 7.

South Korea's Chief of Military Joint Staff (JCS) said it had detected the launch, without providing further details.

Meanwhile, the Japanese government also said North Korea had launched ballistic missiles on Friday, quoted from Kyodo News.

Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi told reporters the missile appeared to have crashed outside Japan's Exclusive Economic Zone, without any damage to reported aircraft or ships.

North Korea last fired short-range ballistic missiles to the northeast on October 22 ahead of South Korea's Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit (APEC) which was attended by US President Donald Trump to Chinese President Xi Jinping from October 31 to November 1.
