The DPR MKD Decision: Sahroni, Eko And Nafa Urbach Proven To Violate The Code Of Ethics, Adies-Uya Kuya Does Not Violate

JAKARTA - The House of Representatives' Honorary Court (MKD) held a trial to read the verdict on the alleged violation of the code of ethics of five members of the DPR in the MKD Courtroom, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta on Wednesday, November 5.

The five are Adies Kadir as Teradu I, Nafa Urbach Teradu II, Surya Uya Uya Kuya III, Eko Hendro Purnomo (Eko Patrio) Teradu IV, and Ahmad Sahroni Teradu V.

Deputy Chairman of the DPR MKD, Adang Darajatun read out the verdict that the Deputy Speaker of the DPR from the Golkar faction, Adies Kadir, was declared not to have violated the code of ethics. So that Adies has been reactivated as a member of the DPR from today.

However, MKD requested that in the future, Adies be more careful in maintaining behavior and words.

"Declaring that Adies Kadir is not proven to have violated the code of ethics. Second, asking Defendant 1 to be careful in conveying information and maintaining behavior in the future," said Adang in a MKD trial held at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, November 5.

Then, Nafa Urbach was found guilty of violating the code of ethics. He was given sanctions in the form of being disabled for three months after the verdict was read.

"Ask Nafa Urbach to be careful in expressing statements and opinions and maintaining future behavior," he said.

Furthermore, MKD stated that Uya kuya was not proven to have violated the code of ethics, so her status was reactivated as a member of the DPR. Meanwhile, Eko Patrio was found guilty of violating the code of ethics and was given a non-active sanction for four months.

"Punishing Eko Hendro Purnomo is inactive for 4 months from the date this decision is read out," said Adang.

Finally, Sahroni was proven to have violated the code of ethics and received a sentence in the form of being inactive for six months. "Punishing Sahroni inactive for six months since this verdict was read out," he said.

MKD stated that all defendants would not receive salary rights during the inactive period.

"Stating that Defendant I to V during the deactivization period did not get financial rights," said Adang.

As is known, the five Defendants underwent an ethics trial after reports from the public entered the MKD regarding statements and behaviors deemed inappropriate for a representative of the people.

Adies Kadir, reported to MKD because of his statement regarding the allowances for council members which were deemed inappropriate and caused controversy in the public. Adies himself has been temporarily disabled by the Golkar Party since early September 2025.

Nafa Urbach reaped a polemic of his remarks about the increase in salaries and allowances being considered hedonistic and insensitive to the condition of the community. Nafa has also been deactivated by his party while waiting for the ethical process at the MKD.

Then, Uya Kuya and Eko Patrio were involved in the dance action at the MPR/DPR/DPD Annual Session on August 15, 2025. Their behavior was considered to degrade the dignity of the institution. Both came from the National Mandate Party (PAN) and have been disabled while waiting for the results of the Constitutional Court's decision.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR, Ahmad Sahroni, was also questioned because of a harsh statement in the public sphere. Sahroni's video statement is one of the evidences brought by the reporter to the MKD. The NasDem Party previously also deactivated Sahroni from his position in the party.
