Alert, Man Mode Of Self Collision Into Car Recorded By Dashcam Car In Tanah Abang

JAKARTA - A man with the mode of crashing into a passing car was caught on a dashboard camera by a car on the flyover in the Tanah Abang area, Central Jakarta.

The perpetrator was seen coming from the side of the road and running to the passing car. Luckily, the perpetrator's crime mode was caught on a dashcam camera.

In the amateur camera footage, the perpetrator ran close to the passing car. Meanwhile, the car actually lowered its speed before the collision occurred.

However, the perpetrator actually crashed and pretended to fall face down while fainting. Seeing the perpetrator lying face down, the driver of the car then returned to continue his journey regardless of the perpetrator.

Head of Public Relations of the Central Jakarta Metro Police, Iptu Ruslan, said the police were still waiting for an official report made by the victim.

"Members of the Tanah Abang Polsektro have checked the TKP, initial information from local witnesses at the TKP that the perpetrator had a mental disorder," said Iptu Ruslan when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, November 5, 2025.

Until now, the case is still being handled by the Tanah Abang Police Criminal Investigation Unit.
