PEKALONGAN - Pekalongan City Resort Police, Central Java, is still investigating the explosion of a stove in South Pekalongan District which resulted in three deaths and one serious injuries.
Pekalongan City Police Chief AKBP Riki Yariadi said his party was conducting a crime scene investigation for the incident which occurred on Sunday afternoon (2/11).
"Today (Monday) we visited the scene of the incident and conducted a crime scene with the Identification Unit (Inafis)," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, November 3.
Based on information from witnesses, the victim was cooking in a rented room in a closed condition and it was suspected that there was a gas leak.
"When the stove was turned on, triggered, an explosion finally occurred and they suffered burns," he said.
The three victims who were still in one family who were reported to have died were FI (38) who died on Monday (3/11) and her two children, HA (3.5) died on Sunday night (2/11), and R (4 months) died on Monday (3/11).
Meanwhile, the mother with the initials HS (31) is currently still undergoing intensive treatment at HA Djunaid Hospital.

According to local residents, this incident occurred on Sunday (2/11) at around 15.00 WIB when the four victims had just returned home and entered their boarding room.
