JAKARTA - China has fired two former senior government officials from the Communist Party for serious disciplinary and legal violations.
The move targeted Wang Jianjun, former deputy chairman of China's Securities Supervision Commission, and Xu Xianping, former deputy director of the National Development and Reform Commission, the Central Commission for Disciplinary Inspection said in two separate statements.
Reported by Reuters on Monday, November 3, the anti-corruption supervisory agency said Wang and Xu were suspected of accepting bribes, with their case described as "serious" and having "bad influence".
