Police officers from the North Jakarta Police conducted a search of a shophouse belonging to an importer of PT Laba-laba Nusantara with its address at JI. Parangtritis Raya No. 6C Ancol Pademangan, North Jakarta.

The shophouse is suspected of carrying out illegal trade using fake SNI labels, and forgery of halal logos for President Prabowo Subianto's flagship program, Free Nutrition Food (MBG).

The police found imported goods from China labeled 'Fake Made in Indonesia', fake SNI labels, and the use of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) logo without permission.

The police said that many of these imported kitchen utensils were illegally entered without the correct procedure permit.

To reporters, North Jakarta Police Public Relations Ipda Maryati Jonggi said he was investigating the allegation. North Jakarta Police is also conducting an analysis and evaluation of the search of shophouses in their authority.

The issue of the origin of the food route used in the MBG program sparked public attention after media investigation reports revealed that the product was not made locally, but imported from China.

The report even alluded to the practice of counterfeiting the label 'Made in Indonesia' and the SNI logo, complete with photo evidence of workers at Chinese factories producing turnover labeled the National Nutrition Agency (BGN).

This counterfeiting practice also has the potential to harm the state and industry because the perpetrators do not deposit Value Added Tax (PPn). Referring to Article 62 of Law no. 20 of 2014 concerning Standardization and Assessment of Adjustments (SNI), counterfeiting of SNI labels can be subject to criminal sanctions.

Violators can be sentenced to a maximum of 7 years in prison or a maximum fine of IDR 50 billion.
