Dekai Residents Persecuted By KKB Kodap XVI Yahukimo, After The Shooting Of Mobile Shop Employees

The Cartenz Peace Task Force expressed sympathizers of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) who abused a Dekai resident named Jako, while at a kiosk on Jalan Baliem, Dekai District, Thursday, October 30 evening.

"The alleged perpetrator is a sympathizer of KKB Kodap XVI Yahukimo. As a result of the attack, the victim was seriously injured and has now been handled by paramedics at Dekai Hospital," said Head of the Cartenz Peace Task Force Brigadier General Faizal Rahmadani in Jayapura Friday, confiscated by Antara.

He said, earlier on Tuesday, October 28 evening, the KKB and its sympathizers shot an employee of a mobile phone seller shop but there were no victims.

The attack case that occurred on Thursday, October 30 night, began when the perpetrator came and suddenly attacked the victim, then fled immediately.

According to him, the action, which was allegedly carried out by KKB sympathizers from Kodap XVI Yahukimo, was aimed at triggering security instability in Yahukimo Regency.

"The Cartenz Peace Task Force has dispatched a team to investigate the case, including other cases that threaten public safety because it should not be allowed," Faizal.

He said that currently his party continues to synergize with the Yahukimo Police in maintaining security stability in the region.

"We are also increasing patrols and preventive activities in the Yahukimo area, because the security forces are always present to protect the entire community," said Faizal.

He appealed to the public to remain calm and not be provoked by issues that have not been verified, and to fully submit the legal process to the security forces.

During October, there were six cases of attacks by the KKB and sympathizers of civilians in Yahukimo Regency, of whom three people died and two were injured, while the shooting case that occurred on Tuesday, October 28 night, there were no casualties.
