Bandung Police Unload 2 Houses Of Tobacco Drugs Industry Synthesis

The Bandung City Police (Polresta) Narcotics Investigation Unit (Satres Narkoba) revealed a network of two homes in the synthetic tobacco industry operating in the Cileunyi and Majalaya areas.

Kasatnarkoba Bandung Police Commissioner Nova Bhayangkara said his party arrested three perpetrators who produced drugs along with several pieces of evidence such as synthetic tobacco ready for distribution and several other chemicals.

"From the suspects who have been arrested, evidence was found in the form of 250 grams of synthetic tobacco narcotics at the Cileunyi TKP and 1,550 grams of synthetic tobacco in Majalaya," Nova said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, October 30.

Nova explained that the disclosure of this case stems from reports from residents who suspect the production of synthetic tobacco in a house in the Cileunyi area.

His party followed up on reports from residents to go to the location and found various types of evidence used to produce and package synthetic tobacco ready for distribution.

"The synthetic weapon was marketed and we are still developing it for the wearer. For that, we are still conducting further investigations to conduct examinations of evidence into forensic laboratories," he said.

Based on the results of the investigation, it is known that these two drug industry houses have only been operating for the past three months.

The three perpetrators also distributed synthetic tobacco ready for distribution offered to consumers through social media freely.

The perpetrators use various social media as a means of transaction, such as Instagram, Facebook, and possibly TikTok. So, they started using social media, no longer using old methods," he said.

For his actions, the suspect was charged with multiple articles Article 112 and Article 114 concerning Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. With a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.
