Affirming The Mutation Letter Of ASN Tanjungpinang Education Riau Islands Hoaks, BKPSDM: Verification On The Official Channel

The Tanjungpinang City Government in Riau Islands Province (Kepri) confirmed that the notification letter for mutations and structuring employees in the field of education circulating in the community is not true or hoaxes.

The letter with the number T/800/147/BKPSDM/X/2025 dated October 28, 2025, uses the Tanjungpinang City Governmenthead and includes the name of the Head of the Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM) Achmad Nur Fatah.

"After a search, it is confirmed that this is not an official document issued by the Tanjungpinang BKPSDM," Fatah said in Tanjungpinang, Wednesday, which was confiscated by Antara.

Fatah ensured that her party had never issued a letter with a number or content as circulated recently.

"The public and ASN must be careful of unofficial information that uses the names of government institutions," he said.

Similarly, the Head of the Tanjungpinang Communication and Information Office (Diskominfo) Teguh Susanto stated that the letter was invalid and not an official government product, because the format, numbering, and contents of the letter were not in accordance with the provisions of the city government's official administration.

The Tanjungpinang City Government has standard procedures for issuing letters and official decisions, including those related to personnel affairs. Each official document is issued through a legal administrative system by the BKPSDM and approved by the leadership according to the provisions.

"All official letters and information can be verified through the official government channel. We urge the public and ASN not to easily believe in information that is not sourced from the city government's official channel," said Teguh.

He also emphasized that the spread of false information (hoaxes) on behalf of government agencies can cause unrest and damage public trust in government institutions.

He reminded all civil servants, educators, and the public to always check first before sharing information.

"If you find a suspicious letter or message, immediately confirm with the relevant Diskominfo or agency," he said.
