Pengangku Hak Ulayat Di Dairi Express Support Untuk Operasi PT DPM

JAKARTA A number of owners of customary rights from various regions in Dairi Regency expressed support for PT Dairi Prima Mineral (DPM)'s operational plans.

The support was conveyed in a joint meeting with company management held in Dairi, North Sumatra.

This meeting aims to strengthen communication between companies and indigenous peoples as well as build synergies in realizing sustainable mining activities.

The event took place in a family atmosphere and was attended by traditional leaders from a number of clans in Dairi, including Cibro, Sambo, Maha, Pardosi, Boang Manalu, Manik, Bako, Berumpu, Ujung, Kudari, Matanari, Lingga, and Bintang.

Representative of the pemangku hak ulayat, Sahbin Cibro, said that indigenous peoples support the existence of PT DPM during operations carried out in a transparent manner and pay attention to social and environmental aspects.

"We believe, if managed properly and responsibly, the presence of PT DPM can open up great opportunities to improve the welfare of the Dairi community," said Sahbin Cibro.

The management of PT DPM positively welcomed the support of the indigenous people. Superintendent Public Relations of PT DPM, Baiq Idayani, emphasized the company's commitment to carrying out mining activities in accordance with government regulations and respecting local wisdom.

"We are grateful for the trust given. PT DPM is committed to protecting the environment, respecting customary rights, and contributing to economic and social development in Dairi Regency," said Baiq.

The meeting ended with the signing of a statement of support from the holders of customary rights to the opening and operational continuation of PT DPM, as a form of joint commitment to encourage fair and sustainable development in the Dairi region.
