JAKARTA - Parliamentary Monitoring Student Coordinator Bintang Wahyu issued a controversial statement regarding the deactivation of a number of members of the Indonesian Parliament Sahroni, Uya Kuya, Nafa Urbach, Adies Kadir and Rahayu Saraswati.

According to Bintang, the proposal of the MKD DPR RI to dismiss members of the DPR RI is not appropriate.

Bintang said they were victims of disinformation, slander and hatred from a group of people who wanted to make the nation noisy.

"They are Sahroni, Uya Kuya, Nafa Urbach, Adies Kadir and Rahayu Saraswati are members of the DPR who are non-Active by their respective parties, not a accused corruptor. Or criminals whose sentences are threatened with more than 5 years in prison," said Bintang in his statement, Wednesday, October 29.

Bintang berpendapat, Sahroni, Uya Kuya, Nafa Urbach, Adies Kadir and Rahayu Saraswati tidak ada yang melanggar hukum atau kode etik. Sehingga, lanjutnya, hal tersebut sangat tidak adil.

"But due to disinformation, slander and hatred. They are all labeled as great criminals. It is very unfair if they have to be dismissed or at PAW. Precisely as victims, their good name must be restored," he said.
