JAKARTA - Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta ensures that the rights of employees in educational units under the integrated foundation will still be fulfilled.
Including the lease exemption in accordance with the mandate of the Decree of the Minister of Religion (KMA) Number 1543 of 2025 concerning guidelines for integrating the management of education units.
"The fulfillment of employee rights, both educators and education personnel, will continue to be a concern for UIN Jakarta," said UIN Chancellor Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Asep Saepudin Jahar, in Jakarta, Antara, Wednesday, October 29.
The Ministry of Religion previously decided to integrate educational units previously managed by three foundations, namely the Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Main Tripurpose College Foundation, the Syarif Hidayatullah Foundation, and the Ketilang Insan Mandiri Foundation.
In the KMA, it is stated that integration includes the unification of management of four main aspects: institutions, finance, assets, and human resources (HR).
"In the event that the implementation of human resource integration has an impact on the financial rights and/or the welfare of employees, the lowest amount is the same as the provision of financial rights and/or previous welfare," reads Article 7 KMA.
Chancellor Asep emphasized that his party will fully follow the mandate of the KMA, including ensuring that there is no post-integration land lease obligation.
"God willing, we will fully follow the mandate of the Decree of the Minister of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, especially regarding the welfare of educators and education personnel who have worked so far," said Asep.
The Vice Chancellor for General Administration, Imam Subchi, added that UIN Jakarta is ready to implement all the provisions in the KMA, including ensuring the welfare of educators and education staff.
"UIN Jakarta is ready to provide the best support for the welfare of educators and education personnel who have contributed greatly to developing their respective educational institutions," he said.
Meanwhile, Minister of Religion Nasaruddin Umar emphasized that the KMA guidelines for integration were the result of a mutual agreement after a long study process.
"I beg all of us to follow and implement this KMA as well as possible. This is the result of a joint ijtihad," said Nasaruddin.
