KPK Reminds Jakarta Provincial Government To Coordinate Cross-Sector To Manage Road Access To Sumber Waras Hospital

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) reminded the Jakarta Provincial Government to immediately prepare a plan to restore land for the former Sumber Waras Hospital. This was conveyed by the Head of the Korsup Region II KPK Task Force (Kasatgas) Dwi Aprillia Linda Astuti while directly reviewing the asset recovery process covering an area of 36,410 square meters or 3.6 hectares of the former Sumber Waras Hospital on Friday, October 24.

"Currently, access to existing road openings is not sufficient to support hospital operations as a hospital's top referral health service," said Linda as quoted from a written statement from the institution, Tuesday, October 28.

"For this reason, in ensuring the effective use of public assets, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government needs to coordinate with cross-sectors regarding the arrangement of road access to the land of the former Sumber Waras Hospital," he continued.

Linda said that this kind of asset management should not only stop at administrative aspects. The Jakarta Provincial Government, she said, must strengthen various aspects so that every process runs according to legal provisions, as well as reflect the principles of transparency and good governance.
