West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police Investigators are coordinating with the public prosecutor (JPU) to complete the case file for the suspect Misri Puspita Sari, a woman from Jambi, in the alleged murder case of Brigadier Muhammad Nurhadi.

"The file of the Misri case is still in process. His status has not changed, he is still a suspect. We are also coordinating with the prosecutor while walking together with the trial," said Head of Sub-Directorate III of the NTB Police Criminal Investigation Unit, AKBP Catur Erwin Setiawan in Mataram, Antara, Tuesday, October 28.

Catur explained that coordination was carried out to fulfill several additional instructions from the prosecutor's research on the case file Misri.

"While we are working on it. In essence, (the case file) will soon be sent back to the prosecutor," he said.

According to Catur, Misri was charged with Article 221 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) regarding obstruction of justice or acts that hindered the legal process. He is said to have known about the murder of Brigadier Nurhadi but did not provide the real information to investigators.

"Misri was not directly involved in the persecution or murder, but her role was not to reveal the real facts," said Catur.

Meanwhile, two other Polri officers, namely Kompol I Made Yogi Purusa Utama and Ipda I Gde Aris Chandra Widianto, have the status of defendants and are undergoing trial at the Mataram District Court.

In the inaugural trial on Monday (27/10), the prosecutor read out the charges against the two of them who were said to have carried out severe persecution that caused the death of Brigadier Muhammad Nurhadi, a member of the NTB Police Propam Subpaminal Division.

The incident occurred at an inn in the Gili Trawangan tourist area. In the indictment, the prosecutor stated that the two of them violated Article 338 of the Criminal Code concerning murder and/or Article 354 paragraph (2) of the Criminal Code regarding severe persecution, as well as Article 351 paragraph (3) of the Criminal Code concerning persecution that resulted in the loss of the lives of others, in conjunction with Article 221 of the Criminal Code and Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.

"So we first focus on Yogi and Aris. For Misri, we will continue to follow up according to the applicable legal process," concluded Catur.
