Two Motorcycle Thieves With Critical Fire After Massacre In West Jakarta

JAKARTA - Two motorcycle thieves with firearms who were attacked by residents on Jalan Terate Raya, Jembatan Lima, Tambora, West Jakarta, are now in critical condition.

In the incident that occurred on Thursday (23/10), two perpetrators with the initials D and R were seriously injured and immediately rushed to the nearest health facility. Both have been referred to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital for surgery.

"For the two perpetrators, we have referred them to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital. One perpetrator with the initials D underwent surgery on his head and the other underwent jaw surgery," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tambora Police of the West Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Sudrajat Djumantara when confirmed in Jakarta, Sunday.

Therefore, the police still have not been able to take information from the perpetrators regarding their criminal acts.

"His condition is not yet possible for questioning," he said.

The mob at the location broke out when the two perpetrators were caught trying to get away with a motorbike belonging to a local resident.

Angry residents then chased and managed to catch the two perpetrators, who were eventually seriously injured by the tantrums of the masses.

Meanwhile, the victim who was hit by the bullet has received medical treatment and is now allowed to go home.

"So, the victim is still in the recovery stage," said Sudrajat.

The police suspect that the weapon used by the perpetrator is a homemade firearm, but this will still be confirmed through ballistic tests.

"For further results, we will convey it after the inspection process is complete. When we secure it, the condition of the perpetrator is already seriously injured," he said.
