Coming To The Palace, Bahlil Shows Off Yellow Shoes For IDR 250 Thousand

JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia stole the attention when showing off a pair of yellow shoes he was wearing when he came to the Jakarta Presidential Palace Complex, Friday, October 24. Not just fashion, the shoes, he said, brought symbolic messages as well as promotion of micro, small and medium enterprise products (MSMEs).

"This MSME product. It is yellow, because the ESDM is in the emblem with yellow," said Bahlil while pointing at his shoes. He emphasized that the selection of yellow was not without reason, but directly referred to the identity of his ministry.

When asked whether the symbol of ESDM and also the yellow color of its shoes also contained banyans (Golkar Party), Bahlil responded quickly. "Don't equate it, don't mix politics with the government," he said firmly. He quipped the tendency to mix the symbols of the state with political parties. Even though in the government there is politics, but in politics, it is in the government, "he continued.

The shoes he wore and showed off, said Bahlil, were bought for Rp. 250 thousand. He even offered a pair to the media crew. "Do you want me to give it all?" he said with a smile.
