Police: Ojol Vs Debt Collector In Cakung Misunderstanding, Thought The Motorbike Was Still In Arrears

JAKARTA - The man suspected of being a debt collector group or eagle eye was attacked by a number of residents and ojol drivers after being suspected of confiscation of a motorbike in the Cakung area, East Jakarta, Friday, October 24, 2025.

"Initially, I thought the motorbike was in arrears," said Cakung Police Chief, Kompol Widodo Saputro when confirmed by VOI.

The victim screamed and quarreled so that it attracted the attention of ojol drivers and local residents.

"We have been checked and not. The victim did not make a police report," he said.

Then the eagle eye group was chased until it entered the banks of the Kupar River, Cakung, East Jakarta.

The incident was recorded by amateur video of residents and then uploaded to social media. The video upload also received oblique comments from netizens.

The account @miirdamahrrni wrote "It's really sad to see the matel in this way.
