Viral Commuter Line Carriage Flooded By Water

JAKARTA - A commuter line carriage containing a number of train passengers was hit by a puddle of water on the floor. The incident was recorded by an amateur camera from one of the commuter line passengers.

Then the amateur footage was uploaded to the Instagram social media account @lbj_jakarta on Thursday, October 23, 2025.

In the upload of the video, it is stated that the caption "flooding on the road is normal, flooding on the new KRL is not uncommon if you don't want to say it's extraordinary".

Responding to the circulation of the viral video, KAI Commuter Public Relations Manager Leza Arlan confirmed the incident.

"Rainwater can enter due to high rainfall accompanied by wind, which causes rainwater to enter the train when the door opens at the station," Leza said when confirmed by VOI, Thursday, October 23, afternoon.

Although the water was inundated on the floor of the commuter line, the train janitor had already cleaned the water.

"Our cleaning officers in the commuter line will clean the incoming water," he said.
