A Number Of Cities Potentially Rain, Maximum Temperature Thursday Afternoon 35 Degrees Celsius

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts the potential for rain in a number of cities today, Thursday, October 23, accompanied by high temperatures, can be experienced by people in several areas.

BMKG forecaster Ranti Kurniati in an online weather forecast followed by ANTARA explaining that cloudy weather is predicted to be experienced in the Pekanbaru and thick cloudy areas of Jambi, Padang and Bandar Lampung as well as light rain in Banda Aceh, Medan, Tanjung Pinang, Bengkulu, and Palembang.

He also warned of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning for a certain period in Pangkal Pinang today.

"Untuk hujan dengan intensitas ringan berpotensi terjadi di Jakarta, Serang, Bandung dan Semarang. Hujan dengan intensitas sedang berpotensi terjadi di Yogyakarta dan waspadai hujan disertai petir berpotensi terjadi di Surabaya," jelasnya.

The potential for rain is also predicted by BMKG in the regions of Bali and West Nusa Tenggara, with Ranti explaining that light rain is predicted in Denpasar and moderate rain in Mataram. Meanwhile in Kupang, it has the potential to experience thick cloudy weather.

In the Kalimantan region, Ranti said the BMKG predicts light rain in Pontianak and Palangkaraya, moderate rain in Samarinda and rain accompanied by lightning in Tanjung Selor and Banjarmasin.

On the island of Sulawesi, thick cloudy weather has the potential to occur in Kendari and light rain in Manado, Gorontalo and Makassar today. Accompanied by the potential for moderate rain in Palu and rain accompanied by lightning in Mamuju.

For eastern Indonesia, Ranti said there is the potential for thick cloudy weather in Ambon as well as light rain in Ternate, Manokwari, Jayapura, Jayawijaya and Merauke. As well as moderate intensity rain in Sorong and Nabire.

Meanwhile, the maximum temperature is predicted to range from 30 to 35 degrees Celsius in a number of cities.

"For those living in Pontianak, Mataram and Kupang, be aware of temperatures of 32 to 35 degrees Celsius," said Ranti Kurniati.
