Witness CMNP Again Answering I Don't Know, Hotman Paris Opens Proof Of Sale And Purchase: Win 12-0

JAKARTA - The attorney for PT MNC Asia Holding Tbk Hotman Paris Hutapea again found the fact that there was no exchange of Deposit Certificates that could be negotiated (NCD) as contained in the lawsuit by PT Citra Marga Nusaphala Persada Tbk (CMNP) against his client.

According to him, what happened was the sale and purchase of securities between CMNP and Drosophila Enterprise Pte Ltd.

"The reality is not exchanging, but buying and selling," said Hotman when met after the trial at the Central Jakarta District Court, Wednesday, October 22.

The trial presented Djarot Basuki as the former Head of the Finance Bureau of CMNP who is a witness to the plaintiff. In his statement, he stated that there was a exchange of securities.

However, when asked by Hotman whether he knew that the board of directors signed the sale and purchase of securities in the financial report, witness Djarot Basuki replied he did not know.

"Here it is stated that there is no exchange, but buying and selling. Be careful, you have been sworn in, you know, is this wrong or what?"

"Yes, I do not know the end of the financial report," said witness CMNP Djarot Basuki.

Hotman emphasized that the letter signed by the commissioners and directors of CMNP in the financial report showed buying and selling transactions.

"What he (CMNP) brought as a witness was subordinate employees. Eh, the directors of all CMNPs said it was buying and selling. Here, there is a picture of Mrs. Tutut. Yes, this is all the directors. The four directors of CMNP, including Ms. Tutut Putri Pak Harto, stated that it was not a exchange, it was buying and selling and everything was signed by the directors," he said.

Related to this, Hotman assessed that his party had won a landslide victory over the lawsuit filed by CMNP.

"It's like a football match, if it was a debate, it was like a football match, I made them 12-0. So, my goal is to make 12-0 !," he said.

It is known that the Central Jakarta District Court held a trial for a civil lawsuit by PT Citra Marga Nusaphala Persada Tbk (CMNP).

In the case numbered 142/Pdt.G/2025/PN Jkt.Pst, the company owned by Jusuf Hamka demanded compensation for the transaction of a Depositable Certificate (NCD) worth USD28 million in 1999.
