JAKARTA - An unidentified man was found dead after being involved in a duel with a thug at the Kampung Rambutan Terminal, Ciracas District, East Jakarta, Wednesday morning, October 22, 2025.

The victim suffered serious injuries from sharp weapons in several parts of his body. Blood was seen flowing on the terminal street before finally being covered in sand by local residents.

The owner of a food stall around the location, Husaini, said that at around 04.51 WIB the victim was seen doing activities in front of his shop carrying white sacks.

"He had time to take a broomstick and a penki, clean up trash on the road," said Husaini, Wednesday morning.

Shortly after he went to the market, the atmosphere turned busy.

"When I came back, there were already a lot of people. I asked why no one answered. When I saw it, the one who had swept it was lying," he said.

According to Husaini, the victim was not a local resident because he had never been seen before. When moved residents to a safer place, the man was still breathing weakly.

Someone called the ambulance but it was difficult to connect. Finally I contacted Mr. RT, and the ambulance only arrived around half past seven," he said.

Husaini added that the stabbing perpetrator had been secured by the police shortly after the incident.

"He said the terminal person, the victim often cleans the road, can't see the dirt a little bit," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Ciracas Police, Iptu Nasruki, said that his party was still examining the perpetrators and gathering evidence in the field. "The information is still changing. The perpetrator admitted to hitting the victim, so we were looking for CCTV footage around the location," said Nasruki.
