South Kalimantan Police Chief Eats Free Nutritious Food Menu With Students, Makes Sure It's Safe And Nutritious

BANJARBARU - South Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Rosyanto Yudha Hermawan and his wife, Chairman of Bhayangkari South Kalimantan Region Yennie Rosyanto Yudha, went directly to enjoy the Free Nutrition Eating Program (MBG) menu with students of SMPN 5 Banjarbaru.

This step was taken by the Kapolda to ensure the safety and quality of MBG food processed by the South Kalimantan Police Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG), managed by Bhayangkari.

"Food processed at the South Kalimantan Police SPPG is guaranteed quality, nutrition, and health," said Yudha on the sidelines of the activity quoted from Antara, Tuesday, October 21.

Supervision of raw materials and the production process is carried out strictly by applying the food security principle.

Each ingredient used is directly controlled by nutritionists so that the food given to students remains nutritious, fresh, and hygienic.

"Don't let food production not meet the standards of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), so it must be controlled every day," he said.

The Kapolda also emphasized that this step is a form of responsibility to ward off public concerns after the emergence of food poisoning cases in several areas.

If food is found that is not suitable for consumption, such as stale or odor, Yudha asks that the food be withdrawn immediately and the school reports it proactively.

The South Kalimantan Regional Police SPPG in Banjarbaru City currently serves 3,067 beneficiaries. The facility has been equipped with Wastewater Processing Installation (IPAL) to keep the remaining water from polluting the environment, as well as a cleaning machine for eating utensils (ompreng) that makes the distribution process more hygienic and efficient.

The head of SMPN 5 Banjarbaru, Jarot Santosa, welcomed the steps taken by the Kapolda who also ate with 985 MBG beneficiaries at the school.

"This real action of the Kapolda certainly provides security guarantees for food consumed. Food from the Regional Police SPPG is always delicious and is liked by students," he said.
