Entering one year of President Prabowo Subianto's administration, the national economic condition is considered to be getting better, accompanied by a high level of public trust in the government's performance.
This was revealed in the results of a national survey conducted by the Indonesia Political Opinion (IPO) entitled One Year of Government: Evaluation and Public Records on October 9, 2025.
IPO Executive Director Dedi Kurnia Syah said 73 percent of respondents rated the current national economic condition to be good and quite good, a sharp increase compared to the survey results in October 2024.
"Meanwhile, 29 percent considered the economy to be deteriorating and 4 percent said it was very bad," said Dedi in a presentation on the results of a survey in Jakarta, Tuesday, October 21.
Furthermore, Dedi explained that the majority of the people also felt the positive impact of improving the economy.
A total of 57 percent of respondents admitted that better economic conditions had a direct impact on their lives, and 11 percent said it had an impact," he said.
The level of public satisfaction with President Prabowo's performance also shows a positive trend. As many as 67 percent of respondents said they were satisfied and very satisfied, while 81 percent said they believed and really believed in their leadership.
This public satisfaction is mainly driven by a number of policies that are considered pro-people, such as the Free Nutrition Food program which is appreciated by 70 percent of the public, the People's House Procurement Program with a satisfaction level of 83 percent among those who know the program, as well as the distribution of village funds which also record satisfaction above 70 percent.
In addition, 77 percent of respondents considered the national security situation to be in good condition, and 80 percent considered law enforcement to be positive.
"The trend of public perception of the economy and President Prabowo's leadership shows a stable and optimistic direction. The public assesses that the government's economic policies are starting to be felt to the lower levels of society," said Dedi.
He assessed that this achievement illustrates the success of the government in maintaining economic stability as well as the effectiveness of political communication.
"Public trust is above 80 percent indicating that the public sees President Prabowo's leadership as firm, authoritative, and result-oriented. This is an important asset to move on to the second year of government," he said.
