Coordinating Minister For Political, Legal And Security Affairs Asks TNI-Polri To Compact: This Arena Belongs To Together

JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs (Menko Polkam) Djamari Chaniago instructed TNI and Polri personnel to always be united in maintaining national security.

"The Indonesian National Police must be united, because the people will also see," said Djamari when speaking to one of the Brimob troops in front of the TNI and Polri troops' rally at Monas Square, Central Jakarta, Monday, which was confiscated by Antara.

According to Djamari, the synergy between these two agencies must be established so that they can complement each other in carrying out their duties in the field.

He continued that both TNI and Polri personnel must remove the ego of the agency while on duty to avoid clashes between the parameters which will actually have a bad impact on the community.

"Surely we can (maintain cohesiveness) this arena belongs to us, our cohesiveness. Congratulations on duty," said Djamari to the soldiers in the row of the apple.

Regarding TNI and Polri personnel who have been protecting the capital city of Jakarta, Djamari assessed that both parties had collaborated well.

Since the anarchic mass action occurred at the end of August 2025, 5,000 joint TNI and Polri soldiers have been deployed to guard several points in Jakarta. Of the 5,000 troops, some were assigned to guard vital state objects to be on standby at Monas.

Soldiers on standby at Monas hold routine patrols around Jakarta to ensure all areas are in safe condition.

In addition to routine patrols, soldiers also often hold simulation exercises for handling anarchist mass in the Monas field.

All these activities have been carried out by TNI and Polri soldiers to date. Seeing this dedication, Djamari appreciated all the troops who had served.

"It is very honorable that you are in the position on this reserve. Here is Brimob, there is Kopasgat, then Marines, the Air Force and all the Army This same feeling is embedded between me and you today," said Djamari.

As a form of gratitude to the soldiers, Djamari gave gifts and motivation to the personnel at Monas.

"I'm here to give you a hand and not much, not big, but that's what we can show. Our togetherness, our common feelings, our common responsibility to the state and nation," said Djamari.

With this appreciation, Djamari hopes that the enthusiasm of the soldiers in carrying out the task of securing the capital city will increase.
