SIDOARJO - The manager of the Al Khoziny Islamic Boarding School, Sidoarjo, East Java, stated that he respected the legal process carried out by the police in the case of the collapse of a prayer room in the boarding school environment on September 29, 2025, which resulted in 63 students dying.
Kiai Haji Zainal Abidin as the representative of the boarding school as well as the Head of the Al Khoziny Islamic Boarding School Alumni stated that the boarding school through a number of appointed lawyers was ready to accompany the legal process carried out by the East Java Regional Police and other related parties.

The ponpe activities that are gradually returning to normal will be carried out outside the main building which is still a prohibited area for the public.
"All as a form of openness and respect for the ongoing legal process," he said.
In addition, Zainal said the boarding school submitted the entire legal process to completion, including an assessment and investigation from construction experts, in overcoming the issue of the feasibility of the collapsed building structure of the prayer room.
