2 Defendants Of Corruption Toll Roads Charged With Making State Loss Of IDR 66 Billion

JAKARTA - Two defendants in corruption in the construction of the Terbanggi Besar Toll Road - Pematang Panggang - Kayu Agung (Terpeka) for the 2017-2019 fiscal year underwent an indictment trial at the Tanjungkarang District Court, Bandarlampung.

The two defendants are Tunta Ginting as Head of Accounting for Division 5 and Widodo Mardianto as Head of Division 5 Team at PT Waskita Karya.

In the indictment, the Public Prosecutor (JPU) at the Lampung High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) Sukri charged the actions of the two of them to harm the state amounting to Rp66 billion.

The two actions were carried out during a project with a work contract value of Rp1.25 trillion with a road length of 12 km at STA 100+200 to STA 112+200 whose work was carried out for 24 months from April 5, 2017 to November 8, 2019.

The work was carried out based on Contract Number: 003/CONTRACT DIR/JJC/IV/2017 dated April 5, 2017 between the Head of the Implementing Division and the President Director of PT Jasa Marga Jalan Layang Cikampek (JCC) as the owner of the construction project for the Terpeka Toll Road.

The defendants were also charged with fabricating billing documents that seemed to come from activities carried out in the implementation of the 100+200 STA Toll Road construction to 112+200 Lampung STA for the 2017-2019 fiscal year.

In fact, this work is a job that never existed, using the name of a fictitious vendor. In addition, there is also a modus operandi using a vendor whose name is only borrowed.

This activity caused the state to suffer a loss of Rp. 66 billion. In his actions, the defendant was also charged with violating Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law No. 31 of 1999 as amended and supplemented by Law No.20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.
