Two visitors to the Cipinang Rutan were caught by wasrik officers (supervision and examination) when they were about to visit one of the inmates with the initials B.

Perpetrators smuggled 785 pills of the Inex Transformer type through food. However, these efforts were thwarted into the Cipinang Detention Center.

The head of the Cipinang Detention Center, Nugroho Dwi Wahyu, said that the arrests began with officers who suspected the visitors' movements.

"It is proven that after an inspection of luggage, it was found that the prohibited items were wrapped in one snack (light food)," said Nugroho, Thursday, October 16, 2025.

After conducting an in-depth examination, his party immediately coordinated with the East Jakarta Metro Police. The perpetrators were then arrested.

"We handed over people and goods for further examination and action," he said.

Head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Corrections in Jakarta, Heri Azhari, said that the attempted entry of prohibited items including drugs into prisons and detention centers was a big challenge that had to be faced.
