Want To Use Land Sources To Build New Hospitals, Pramono Opens These Two Options

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung revealed plans to build a hospital on the land of the former Sumber Waras Hospital, West Jakarta. The plan is for the hospital, type A, which is the highest referral center for health facilities in the regions.

In the near future, Pramono will decide one of the two options, whether to build a new hospital or move one of Tarakan Hospitals which is also type A to the new land.

"There are two alternatives that we will do, whether this is moving Tarakan Hospital, which has a limited place, which has become a Class A hospital in Jakarta or a new hospital that we will name later," said Pramono in Blok M, South Jakarta, Thursday, October 16.

Pramono expressed this discourse after he held an audience with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). Now, Pramono believes he can build a hospital on the land without being involved in legal cases again in the future.

Considering, several years ago, the land of the Sumber Waras Hospital was questioned in an audit by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK).

"Alhamdulillah, we have received a green light from the KPK to be followed up. I want the Sumber Waras Hospital to be a place for class A hospitals," Pramono explained.

Separately, the KPK confirmed that it had stopped the investigation into alleged corruption in the land acquisition of Sumber Waras Hospital by the Jakarta Provincial Government worth Rp800 billion.

The termination of the case, which had been investigated since 2016, was decided in 2023 because there was not enough evidence to be brought to the investigation stage.

This assurance was conveyed by the Director of Coordination and Supervision of Region II KPK, Bahtiar Ujang Purnama, after the Governor of Jakarta Pramono Anung held an audience at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, October 16, 2025.

"That it was true that in 2014 the procurement was carried out by the KPK's investigation steps. However, after an analysis was carried out with various kinds of evidence or other evidence, the KPK decided that the available evidence was not sufficient for investigation steps," said Bahtiar.

"So that in the realm of investigation, the KPK in 2023 has stopped investigating the case," he continued.
