JAKARTA - Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka personally inspected the implementation of the Free Health Check (CKG) program at State Elementary School 32 in Ternate City, North Maluku, on Thursday, October 16.

During his visit, Vice President Gibran emphasized the importance of schools as comprehensive learning spaces, not only in academic aspects, but also in fostering healthy lifestyles and shaping students' character.

"Schools must be places where good habits are cultivated from an early age, including maintaining health and personal hygiene," Gibran said during the event, as quoted by Antara.

He believes collaboration between teachers, medical personnel, and parents is key to successfully developing a healthy, resilient, and future-ready young generation.

In line with the Vice President's directive, Hasbullah, Head of the CKG Implementation Team at the Kalumata Community Health Center, explained that each student's health check results will be entered into the Ministry of Health's Satu Sehat (One Healthy) application.

With this system, parents can monitor their children's health directly through their devices.

"The test results are immediately entered into the Ministry of Health's Satu Sehat Indonesia app and automatically sent to the parents' phone number entered," said Hasbullah.

"So parents also play an active role," he added.

The excitement and enthusiasm were palpable among the students waiting for their turn to be tested. One of them, Ali, a fifth-grade student, admitted to being nervous before the test, but ultimately felt relieved after learning his health results were good.

With a shy expression, Ali shared his secret to maintaining his health.

"I like water spinach because the broth is delicious," he said innocently to the Vice President, drawing light laughter from the teachers and medical personnel present.

The CKG program is one of President Prabowo Subianto's flagship initiatives, now reaching elementary school level.

This initiative aims to expand access to health services for children from an early age so they grow into a healthy and strong generation.

The CKG program in elementary schools is a real manifestation of synergy between the world of education and the health sector, while instilling awareness of healthy living from an early age for students throughout Indonesia.
