Earthquake M 5.1 Guncang Melonguane North Sulawesi, No Tsunami Potential

JAKARTA - An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 rocked Melonguane, Talaud Islands Regency, North Sulawesi (Sulut) on Wednesday, October 15 at around 02.26 WIB or at 3.26 WITA and it was confirmed that there was no potential for a tsunami.

The Climatology and Geophysics Metrology Agency (BMKG) through its official website quoted in Jakarta, Wednesday, stated that the earthquake that rocked Talaud Islands Regency was located at the coordinates of 7.36 North Latitude, 127.17 East Longitude.

The location, according to the same data, is about 337 kilometers northeast of Melonguane City, Talaud Islands Regency, with a depth of 10 kilometers.
