Prabowo Welcomed By Egyptian President Arriving At Gaza Peace Summit

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto was greeted by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in the courtyard where the Sharm El-Sheikh Summit (KTT) took place for Peace in Gaza, Palestine, at the Sharm El Shaikh International Convention Center, Sharm El-Sheikh City, Egypt.

In the welcoming area, President Sisi approached President Prabowo and then the two leaders of the country chatted with each other.

Sisi's president then directed President Prabowo for a joint photo op session just below the symbol of the Sharm El Shaikh Peace Summit "An agreement to End the War in Gaza". After that, President Prabowo entered the location of the event.

Reported by ANTARA, Monday, October 13, President Prabowo was accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya and State Protocol Head Andy Rachmianto. Cabinet Secretary Teddy, who was in the same car as President Prabowo, entered the event location via a different route from the welcoming area for state leaders.

More than 20 country leaders have arrived at the Sharm El Shaikh International Convention Center, and one by one they were greeted directly by President Sisi who is the host and co-chair of the Summit for Peace in Gaza.

The summit, which took place during the day Egyptian time, was jointly chaired by the President of the Side and President of the United States Donald Trump.

The ranks of state leaders who participated directly in the course of the summit for peace in Gaza include Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Emir Qatari Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, King Jordania Abdullah II, Prime Minister of Kuwait Ahmad Al Abdullah Al Sabah, King Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, then British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Also present were Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, United Arab Emirates Vice President Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Foreign Minister Oman Badr Al Busaidi.

At the same event, there were also UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, European Council President Antonio Costa, and Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Gheit.
