JAKARTA - A TNI soldier from the Battalion 410/Alugoro Task Force died as a result of an attack from the West Papua National Liberation Army/Free Papua Organization (TPNPB/OPM) group in North Moskona District, Bintuni Bay, West Papua, Saturday (11/10).

Head of Information for KodamXVIII/Kasuari Lieutenant Colonel Infantry J. Daniel P. Manalu in Manokwari, Sunday, confirmed the incident of the attack on the TPNPB/OPM group that occurred at around 13.30 WIT in Moyeba Village, North Moskona District.

In that incident, one TNI soldier on behalf of the Soldier Head (Praka) Amin Nurohman died while carrying out his bedwork duties to local residents along with other Satgas Infantry Battalion 410/Alugro personnel.

"It is true that there has been an attack and shooting by the TNPB/OPM Kodap IV Sorong Raya group led by Demi Moss. One weapon belonging to the deceased was also seized by the armed group," said Kapendam.
