BOGOR A total of 35 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) have been operating in Bogor City as part of the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program initiated by the central government. This number continues to grow as the process goes to 45 SPPGs which are targeted to fully operate by 2026, while more than 100 institutions have registered to join.

Bogor Mayor, Dedie A. Rachim, said the local government ensured that all SPPG kitchens that had been running met health and food safety standards. This was conveyed when he directly inspected the Yasmin SPPG kitchen in Curug Mekar Village, West Bogor District, Thursday 9 October.

"For the city of Bogor, we make sure all the requirements are carried out properly. Healthy kitchens must meet standards, and Yasmin's SPPG has been proven feasible with an Environmental Health Inspection (IKL) value of 95.4 of the minimum standard of 80," said Dedie.

He emphasized that the Bogor City Government together with the MBG Supervision Task Force Team continue to carry out strict monitoring of all SPPG so that the nutritious eating program runs safely and with quality. The task force is led directly by the Bogor City Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), according to the direction of the Minister of Home Affairs since last July.

"Monitoring and assistance are carried out continuously to ensure all standards are met. We don't want any cases of poisoning like what happens in other areas," he said.

Dedie explained that each SPPG kitchen can only serve an area with a maximum distance of six kilometers, while the time between the cooking process and the distribution of food should not take more than four hours. This provision, he said, aims to maintain the quality and safety of food for beneficiaries.

Yasmin's own SPPG kitchen currently serves 20 schools with a total of 3,600 students, as well as providing nutrition services for posyandu, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and the elderly.

"Our target is that all SPPGs in Bogor City are complete and fully operational from 2026 to early 2027. That way, children can grow up healthy and become a superior golden generation," said Dedie.

During the review, Dedie was accompanied by the Head of the Bogor City Health Office Sri Nowo Retno and his staff, as well as elements of the TNI and Polri who helped ensure the safety and smooth implementation of the MBG program.
