Condemns The Action Of Bomb Terror At International Schools, Commission X Of The DPR Asks The Police To Intervene

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of Commission X DPR RI, Lalu Hadrian Irfani strongly criticized the bomb terror that targeted international schools in the Jabodetabek area. According to him, these acts of terror have caused unrest in the educational environment and disturbed the sense of security of students, teachers, education staff, and parents.

"Schools should be a safe and free space from threats of violence in any form," Lalu Ari told reporters, Thursday, October 9.

Then assessed, this incident became a serious alarm for all parties to strengthen the security system in the educational environment. He also urged the National Police and related agencies to immediately intervene to investigate, reveal the perpetrators, and take firm action in accordance with applicable law.

"Events like this should not be repeated in the future. The state must be present to ensure the security of the world of education," explained Lalu Ari.

In addition to the aspect of law enforcement, Lalu Ari also emphasized the importance of strengthening the security system and crisis management in schools, including emergency response training, crisis communication, and security education for students, teachers, and educators.

He added that there needs to be school security operational standards that are integrated with local officials, so that the world of education remains protected and the public does not panic in facing this kind of situation.

"This school security standard is absolutely necessary to ensure schools remain a safe and comfortable space for all," he concluded.

As reported, North Jakarta Intercultural School (NJIS) on Jalan Boulevard Bukit Gading Raya, West Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, received a threat of bomb terror via text message or SMS on Tuesday, October 7.

Apart from NJIS, there are two international schools in Tangerang that also received bomb terror. The police also carried out strict security against international schools. A total of six international schools in Jabodetabek have received police guard.
