JAKARTA - Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg said he appreciated the comments of United States President Donald Trump, responding by saying the Republican politician was also experiencing the same thing with him.
Responding to President Trump's comments calling him suffering from anger problems, Greta said the president also appeared to be experiencing the same thing.
"I heard Donald Trump once again express his lauding opinion about my character, and I appreciate his concern for my mental health," the 22-year-old Swedish activist said in an Instagram post on Tuesday, quoted from Politico Oct. 8.
"I would be happy to accept any recommendations you may have to address this so-called 'angry management issue', as it looks like your impressive track record' You also seem to experience it," he added.
As previously reported, President Trump branded Swedish activist Greta Thunberg as a troublemaker, stating he was no longer busy with environmental issues.
"He's just a troublemaker," said President Trump, referring to the Swedish activist, TASS reported.
"I mean, he no longer cares about the environment, now he cares about this (the conflict in the Gaza Strip)?" said President Trump.
"He has problems managing anger, I think he should see a doctor," President Trump continued.
"He's so angry, he's so crazy," he added.
President Trump's comments came after Greta was again detained and deported by Israel.
Greta Thunberg is known to have joined the humanitarian fleet twice to try to break through the Israeli blockade in the Gaza Strip.
In June, Greta, who is a member of Freedom Flotilla Coalition and boarded the Madleen ship, was intercepted by the Israeli military before being deported.
Earlier this month, Greta and hundreds of activists who are members of the Global Sumud Flotilla were again intercepted by Israeli officials before being deported.
Trump called Thunberg "angry" and "promptor" after his detention and subsequent deportation by Israel, after the 42-ship Global Sumud Fleet attempted to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, but was intercepted by Israeli forces.
"He's just a troublemaker... He doesn't care about the environment anymore. He has a anger management problem. I think he should go to the doctor," Trump told reporters. "Have you ever looked at him? He's young. He's so angry, he's so crazy."
This isn't the first time President Trump and climate activists have clashed. President Trump called Thunberg "strange" and "angry" over his first mission to deliver aid to Gaza.
