After IDR 200 Trillion To Himbara, Purbaya Offers IDR 20 Trillion Fund Placement To Bank Jakarta

Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Purbaya Yudhi Sadivewa offered to distribute more budget balance funds at Bank Indonesia amounting to Rp10 trillion for Bank Jakarta, such as the distribution of Rp200 trillion to state-owned bank ensembles (himbara).

This was conveyed by Purbaya when meeting with the Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung at the DKI Jakarta City Hall who also discussed the continuation of the reduction in funds for the transfer of the central government to the regions.

"There is one thing I think about in addition, right. Jakarta has a Bank Jakarta. I put it in Himbara, which is 200 trillion, what if I add a few tens of trillions to Bank Jakarta?" said Purbaya, Tuesday, October 7.

The nominal amount of government funds offered by Purbaya to the regional development bank (BPD) owned by the DKI Provincial Government is IDR 10 trillion to IDR 20 trillion.

Purbaya then asked Pramono whether Bank Jakarta was able to absorb the funds as lending to the public within the specified deadline.

"Can Bank Jakarta absorb it? Don't let me give money, keep panicking. Wow. (Then) I can't distribute it," said Purbaya.

"But if it's only 10 trillion, 20 trillion, you can do it to absorb it. Later it will spread to MSMEs and other industries in Jakarta and elsewhere," he continued.

Therefore, Purbaya admitted that in the near future his party will implement the placement of the tens of trillions of rupiah for Bank Jakarta.

Purbaya also opened the discourse of placing similar funds for Bank Jatim. "In the near future I will calculate the amount," he added.
