TANGERANG - The Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) crossed out 39 residents of Tangerang Regency, Banten, from the list of recipients of social assistance (bansos) for the Family Hope Program (PKH) after being found involved in online gambling activities.

Head of the Family Hope Program Division of the Tangerang Regency Social Service (Dinsos), Endang Ramdhani, said this decision was taken based on an official report from the Ministry of Social Affairs and the results of a joint search of the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK).

"That's right, for now the 39 KPMs have been disabled," said Endang in Tangerang, Antara, Monday, October 6.

According to him, these findings were obtained through supervision of bank accounts and digital wallet transactions belonging to beneficiaries, including family members listed in the Family Card (KK).

"From the results of the verification, it was found that there was a NIK used for online gambling, both by direct recipients and family members," he said.

Endang explained that the Social Service was still verifying dozens of aid recipients who had been blocked.

However, the disabled recipient still has the opportunity to return to receive assistance if the reactivation process by the PKH assistant is approved.

"Currently, five KPMs are in the process of being reactivated to restore their social assistance," he said.

Ia mengingatkan agar penerima manfaat menggunakan bantuan sosial sesuai peruntukannya dan tidak menyalahgunakannya untuk kegiatan konsumtif atau ilegal.

"Dinsos mengimbau agar bantuan digunakan dengan benar, bermanfaat, dan tidak dipakai untuk kegiatan yang melanggar hukum seperti judi online," kata Endang.

He reminded the beneficiaries to use social assistance according to their designation and not to abuse it for consumptive or illegal activities.

"Dinsos urges that aid be used correctly, usefully, and not used for activities that violate the law such as online gambling," said Endang.
