JAKARTA - The Government of Japan and the United States (US) are preparing a plan to visit US President Donald Trump to the country of sunrise. Trump is scheduled to visit Japan to visit Tokyo on 27-29 October.
Nippon reported that this visit would be Trump's first during his second term of office to lead the US government.
Trump is scheduled to meet with Japan's new Prime Minister (PM), who replaced Shigeru Ishiba who resigned from the PM's seat last month.
Sanae Takaichi, who has just been elected General Chair (Ketum) of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), is likely to become the first female PM to replace Ishiba.
The Japanese parliament is expected to hold a vote to elect a Japanese PM to replace Ishiba on October 15.
Takaichi has a great chance of taking the throne to become a new PM after winning the voting to be elected chairman of Japan's ruling Liberal Democratic Party on Saturday 4 October.
This month, Trump is also scheduled to attend a meeting of the ASEAN Summit in Malaysia. After that, Trump will visit Japan and then go to South Korea to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit.
