Deputy Governor Rano Karno Invites Residents To Monas To Attend TNI Anniversary

Deputy Governor of Jakarta Rano Karno invited the public to visit the National Monument (Monas) area, Central Jakarta, during the commemoration of the TNI's 80th Anniversary on Saturday (5/10).

"Tomorrow, October 5, our TNI Anniversary. Maybe someone wants to see Monas, please. While it's free," he said in the Ancol area, North Jakarta, Saturday.

The TNI exhibited 1,047 main weapons systems (defense equipment) consisting of tactical vehicles, artillery vehicles, helicopters, fighter aircraft to transport aircraft during the celebration of the 80th Anniversary at the Monas Cross.

Of these, 156 of them are aircraft consisting of transport planes, one of which is Hercules C-130 and fighter aircraft, such as F-16, Sukhoi and Hawk 100/200.

Fighter pilots will feature a variety of attractions in the air, from combat simulations to flying maneuvers that can be seen directly from the Monas Cross.

People who want to come watch the celebration of the TNI's 80th Anniversary at Monas, one of which can take advantage of the Commuter Line mode. Passengers will be able to get off at Gondangdia or Juanda Station.

KAI Commuter recommends alternative stations to the Monas area, namely Sawah Besar Station and Tanah Abang Station.

KAI Commuter Public Relations Manager, Leza Arlan said that Sawah Besar Station is located about 2.4 kilometers (km) from the Monas Area, while Tanah Abang Station is 2.2 km away.

This alternative station recommendation was given considering the trend of increasing the number of Commuter Line passengers at stations around celebratory activities including the TNI anniversary.

"Hearing the trend every year, public interest during the TNI's anniversary commemoration tends to be high. We estimate that around 942 thousand people will use the Commuter Line on the anniversary of the TNI tomorrow," said Rano Karno.
