JAKARTA - Indonesian Minister of Law (Menkum) Supratman Andi Agtas revealed that the government is currently still drafting the Draft Law on Cyber Security and Resilience (RUU KKS).
When it has been completed, he said, the government will submit the draft to the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) for joint discussion.
"As soon as possible we will submit it because it has been included in the National Legislation Program (Prolegnas)," Supratman said at a press conference in Jakarta, Friday, which was confiscated by Antara.
In drafting the KKS Bill, he explained that there was an inter-ministerial committee consisting of the Ministry of Law (Kemenkum), the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Kemenkomdigi), and the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN).
If later the draft has been completed, he continued, President Prabowo Subianto will appoint one of the ministries/agencies in the team to represent the government in its discussion.
"So as far as I remember, there should be no more problems," he said.

Regarding the article in the KKS Bill which states that the Indonesian National Army (TNI) can carry out criminal investigations in the field of cyber security and resilience, Supratman has not been able to comment and will examine it first.
"I tried to confirm first with the Director General of Legislation Regulations or could ask him about it," said the Minister of Law and Human Rights.
When met after the ITSEC Cybersecurity Summit 2025 event in Jakarta (26/9), Deputy for Cybersecurity and Economic Password BSSN Slamet Aji Pamungkas targets the KKS Bill to be completed this year.
Although he did not elaborate further, Slamet said the KKS Bill had been harmonized with the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.
"It's been harmonized. There is a Legal Bureau and Deputy I (BSSN) who handles it," he said.
The KKS Bill has been approved by the Legislation Body (Baleg) of the DPR along with 66 other bills to be included in the Priority Prolegnas list for discussion in 2026, Thursday 18 September.
A number of priority bills for 2026 are also slides from the 2025 priority to anticipate if the discussion has not been completed.
