DPR Holds Two Plenary Meetings Today, Discusses Bill On Extradition And BUMN

JAKARTA - The House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR) will hold two important agendas, namely the Special Plenary Meeting and the 6th Plenary Meeting, on Thursday 2 October. The meeting will take place in the Plenary Meeting Room, Nusantara II Building, Senayan parliament complex, Jakarta, starting at 10.00 WIB until it is finished.

Based on an official invitation signed by the Secretary General of the DPR Indra Iskandar, this meeting was a follow-up to the decision of the Consultation Meeting in Lieu of the DPR Bamus Meeting on October 1, 2025. All leaders and members of the DPR are expected to attend wearing complete civilian clothes and DPR badges.

The first agenda is the Special Plenary Meeting with the main event of submitting the DPR's performance report for the 2024-2025 Session Year by the Chairman of the DPR. After that, it was continued with the 6th Plenary Meeting which discussed a number of draft laws and institutional agendas.

In this meeting, the DPR will make a level II decision on the bill on the ratification of the extradition treaty between the Republic of Indonesia and the Russian Federation. In addition, it is also scheduled to make a decision on the Bill on the fourth amendment to Law Number 19 of 2003 concerning State-Owned Enterprises, as well as a bill on the third amendment to Law Number 10 of 2009 concerning Tourism.

The meeting will also hear the views of the factions regarding the Bill on Amendments to Law Number 4 of 2023 concerning the Development and Strengthening of the Financial Sector (PPSK), which is the proposal of the DPR Commission XI initiative. A similar agenda is also carried out on the Bill on Statistics, the proposal for the initiative of the DPR Legislation Body.

In addition to the legislative discussion, the plenary meeting also established partners of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. In closing, the Chairperson of the DPR will deliver a speech at the end of the First Session Period of the 2025 '2026 Session Year.
