Police Unload Case Of LPG Gas Coupling In Tangerang, Two Perpetrators Arrested

TANGERANG The Pinang Police managed to uncover the practice of mixing 3-kilogram subsidized LPG gas into a 12-kilogram non-subsidized tube. Two perpetrators with the initials K (41) and AA (31) were arrested during a raid on a rented house in Pinang Village, Tangerang City.

Pinang Police Chief Iptu Adityo Winarko explained that during the raid, the police confiscated evidence in the form of gas cylinders of various sizes, syringe equipment, tube seal, and vehicles used for distribution.

"We would like to thank the public who reported the alleged practice of gas supply in the Pinang area until it was successfully revealed," said Adityo, Tuesday, September 30.

Tangerang Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Raden Muhammad Jauhari emphasized that the practice of mixing LPG gas is not only detrimental to the state and consumers, but also dangerous for the safety of the perpetrators and the surrounding community.

"The risk of the explosion is very large. We have now secured the two perpetrators at the Pinang Police for further investigation, and we will continue to develop this case," he said.

For their actions, the perpetrators were charged with Article 40 number 9 of Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation and Article 62 junto Article 8 paragraph 1 of Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection. Both face imprisonment of up to six years.
