Transfer MBG From SPPG To School Canteen, DPR: It's Not Too Late

JAKARTA - The chairman of the Budget Agency (Banggar) of the DPR RI proposed that the production of free nutritious food (MBG) be diverted from the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) to school canteens. This is to minimize the case of thousands of school children who have recently been poisoned by food.

According to Said, although the total SPPG has reached 9,406 kitchens, it is not too late to use the school canteen to make nutritious and hygienic meals for students. "There is no word too late if this is indeed, the first of our students' safety is number one, priority. This concerns our human, our students again, lives will be taught by the President, so there should be no poisoning," Said said at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, September 29.

Said assessed that if the school canteen became a beneficiary of MBG, the economy in the school area would also rotate. He believes that the DPR Banggar will agree and the budget will also be sufficient.

"If the sound of Banggar, God willing, will be the same. If the point is that the school's outcome will be much better. Believe it and money is circulating in every district in schools in those schools. That's the impact, the economic impact will be on the lower rounds of society, it will be better," said Said.

Previously, the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) took firm steps in responding to cases of food poisoning from the free nutritious dining menu (MBG). BGN imposed sanctions on the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) or problematic MBG kitchen.

Of the total 9,406 SPPGs, 79 kitchens had problems. Dozens of SPPGs were subject to sanctions ranging from warnings and temporary closures indefinitely.

"BGN has also formed an investigative team as an evaluation step for the implementation of future programs," said Deputy Head of BGN, Nanik S. Deyang, in his statement, Sunday, September 28.

As a repair measure, Nanik said, SPPG is required to have a sanitation hygiene certificate, halal certification, and a proper use of water certification. SPPG has one month to fulfill this obligation.
