JAKARTA - The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) stated that it would immediately send a first warning letter (SP1) to the Tamansari Wildlife Foundation (YMT) to immediately vacate the Bandung Zoo (Bandung Zoo) which is currently being litigated.
Head of the Regional Property Inventory Division of BKAD Bandung City, Awal Haryanto, said that the emptying of the zoo area would later become the responsibility of the state through the Ministry of Forestry (Kemenhut).
"SP 1 for YMT will be delivered. Zoos must be empty and related to animals will again be the responsibility of the state through the Ministry of Forestry," Awal said in Bandung, Monday.
Initially, explaining according to the provisions of the Ministry of Forestry, if a conservation agency no longer has a responsible party, then the state is obliged to take over animal management.
Regarding the need for animal feed, Awal said that until now the foundation was still being prepared according to the monitoring of the Bandung City Government together with the West Java Natural Resources Conservation Center (BBKSDA).
"So far, animal feed is still borne by the foundation," he said.
